Sound Advice Acquires Lafayette PC
Acquisition expands audio/video and IT networking and computer consulting services for Lafayette Community
Lafayette, IN, April 11, 2014 -- Recently, Sound Advice acquired Lafayette PC, both based in Lafayette, to expand their service offerings primarily focused on the residential, small and medium business and non-profit companies. Brian Messer, who will serve as COO of the newly formed enterprise, stated “The merging of our two firms brings significant IT muscle to the Lafayette community, in addition to providing our clients with more scalable and comprehensive computer, networking and consulting services.”
Sound Advice has been a Lafayette institution since the 1970s, bringing state-of-the-art technology to home entertainment systems. Messer joined Sound Advice in 2007 to help usher in the natural convergence of computers and networking within the audio and video world. Considered an exceptional IT strategist, Messer employs the latest and most groundbreaking methodologies in designing computer and networking systems. He will provide the strategic direction of the overall business, and will be the primary person for consulting and design across the entire company.
Jason Rubsam, Lafayette PC’s founder, brings seventeen years of IT experience and computer support to the small business community of Lafayette. In addition to winning the 2012 Lafayette Small Business of the Year award by the Chamber of Commerce, and the 2013 best “computer repair” business award from the Journal Courier, Rubsam has extensive experience in running IT departments of such large organizations as Unity Healthcare. His troubleshooting skills are unparalleled, and he is considered an expert in security management and IT consulting and will lead the computer services division.
Computer service repair for both companies will be joined into a separate division under the Lafayette PC Repair brand under the overall Sound Advice umbrella, and will be serviced out of the current Lafayette address at 666 1/3 Main Street in downtown Lafayette. This drop-off service will be new for Sound Advice clients. In addition, Lafayette PC clients will have access to the capabilities represented by the Sound Advice AV division. Rubsam stated, “It is extremely important to note that Lafayette PC clients that have been loyal for so long, will receive the same excellent and personalized IT computer services they have come to expect, along with new service features such as audio and video solutions.”
As we begin our futures together, we invite you to celebrate with us. We will be holding an Open House at 5pm on May 6th, 2014, at our Sound Advice office. The address is 635 S. Earl Ave. Lafayette, IN 47904. Please join us for drinks and light refreshments!
